Vintage Embossed Tin "Keep Off The Grass" Yard Sign
Embossed steel sign with raised green block lettering reading "KEEP OFF THE GRASS," finished in a light gray field with dark green lettering and border. The reverse shows the lettering in relief, emphasizing its pressed-metal construction. Mounting holes are present at the corners and along the centerline, indicating intended outdoor use on posts, fences, or railings where visibility and durability were essential.
Signs like this were widely used in parks, school grounds, municipal buildings, and institutional campuses during the mid-20th century. Designed to be easily readable at a distance and resilient to weather, they reflect a period when public signage favored clarity, permanence, and straightforward authority over decorative flourish. The restrained color palette and heavy gauge metal give it a distinctly utilitarian character well-suited to industrial or architectural display today.
Shows minor rust along the edges and in areas of the raised lettering, along with light surface wear consistent with age and outdoor use. Structurally sound and displays well.

PARCEL SHIPPING
We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.
FREIGHT SHIPPING
Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing.
All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles.
Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
