Large, two-piece antique apothecary cabinet.

This gorgeous wooden apothecary is a unique find. It features oak construction with a golden brown stain and glossy varnish. Within the top half are four sets of double doors, each with a single shelf that can be adjusted by roughly 1" increments. Beneath these shelves is a line of shallow drawers with embossed cast iron pulls, and below these is a long, narrow surface area that acts as the barrier between the top and bottom halves.

The bottom portion features another line of drawers, with similarly styled pulls, though these hold milk glass name plates bearing the names of various items one who works at an apothecary would need such as blood-letting tools, nursing bottles, resins, plasters, and "variæ" a Latin term meaning "various". Interestingly, these tags appear to not just be in Latin, but in English, Spanish and Italian as well. Rounding out this piece is a row of eight cabinets of uniform size, with each pair housing interior shelving.

Exhibits minor signs of wear including scratches and scuffs throughout, especially on the unfinished interior shelving.
