c. 1920s; Frankart Inc. - New York, NY

Early 20th century Art Deco lamp constructed of painted white lead with characteristic concentric line embellishments and includes an amber-colored glass globe. Atop the painted base is a figural nude dance molded in brass.
(Please note that the globe is not mounted in and places gently on the base)

This piece was designed and manufactured by Arthur von Frankenberg at a small design firm on Fifth Avenue in New York. This firm, and many others like it, pulled from European and Egyptian influences to create design features that are now synonymous with New York, and metropolitan settings as a whole.

This piece has been completely rewired in shop and is in working order. (Light switch is also operational)

Please note that buyers are responsible for the shipping costs of all items that are too large to ship parcel. Moreover, all shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the responsibility for the shipment passes to the buyer the moment the shipment leaves our dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles.

International Shipping

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
