Housed in a custom-built wooden shipping crate for protection, the fragment represents the richly ornamented cast iron facades and cornice work commonly produced during the Victorian era for storefronts, banks, civic buildings, and other prominent structures.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nOriginal painted finish displays extensive flaking, peeling, and losses exposing the cast iron beneath. Surface oxidation, rust, accumulated grime, and scattered abrasions are present throughout, consistent with prolonged exterior exposure. The reverse retains its original cast surface with a visible foundry casting seam and expected oxidation. No major cracks or structural repairs observed.
