The eagle rests upon a stepped platform supported by an architectural openwork stand. Three oval reserves decorate the lower structure: the two outer reserves contain sweeping feather carvings, while the removable central reserve displays a plume of three feathers inspired by the Prince of Wales's feathers. Carved foliate brackets, scalloped apron detailing, and a molded plinth base complete the richly ornamented composition. The warm reddish-brown finish emphasizes the extensive hand-carved texture and gives the piece a strong heraldic presence.

Carving is in stable condition with age- and display-related darkening to the wood, particularly on the side decorations. The removable lower center feather ornament is currently secured by one wooden dowel; a second dowel or retaining pin is missing. Scratches, finish wear, and scattered abrasions are present along the edges of the stand and stepped base, as photographed. Additional light surface wear and minor finish variation are visible throughout.

19.5" L x 7.25" W x 50.25" H

MM - C-22421 - 110326

This piece will need to ship via freight.
