This excellent flat file was produced by the Hamilton Mfg. Company. We estimate that this particular piece was manufactured around 1910, prior to the company-wide shift in 1917 to steel production. The makers mark is displayed proudly on the face of the piece.

Please note that three of the name plates are missing from the drawers. While it may appear that this cabinet has eight single-stack drawers, it in fact has four double-stack drawers as displayed in the photo showing the open drawers. The drawer pulls have at some point been realigned. The top is removable and additional drawers may be added.

This flat file is in wonderful cosmetic and functional condition. The entire cabinet measures 42.5" x 24.25" x 19.25". Each of the drawers have usable interior dimensions of 38" x 18.25" x 3".
