This excellent piece of vintage advertising originates from around 1911 and proudly displays artwork for George Stuart, a jeweler and optometrist in business from 1911 to 1957.

This was a production item which could be customized for the store owner. The "Gems and Jewelery of Refinement" section and pictured diamond ring are all embossed. The section containing "Geo. Stuart / "optometrist" / Granville - Ohio" is all stenciled or screen printed onto the sign.

The sign is marked at the bottom as being manufactured by the Elwood Myers Co of Springfield OH and is marked in larger font as "#12". As of 1931, the Elwood Myers Co was owned / operated by the W. F. Robertson Steel and Iron Works.

There is some roughness and pitting, especially the outer areas all the way around. There is a small spot in the black border which is missing, above the letter "D" in "and". There are a few blips in the "Geo Stuart" section, minimal, including a slight separation in the second letter "L" in "Granville"

This sign measures 20" x 13.25"
