Antique cast iron and glass made by Arcade Manufacturing Co., Freeport, IL.
Arcade began in 1885 and was known for their line of cast iron machine for home kitchens. Although they made coffee grinders from the beginning, the No. 3 didn't come about until the last 25 years of the company's existence. In addition to kitchen items, Arcade also made inexpensive woodworking tools beginning in 1935 under the names Arcade, Arcade Craft Tools, and Craftmaster.
They ceased production under the Arcade name in 1946 after being bought out by Rockwell Mfg. Co., who used the facilities and foundries, but no longer made any of the previous items produced by Arcade. As such, many of their items, namely coffee grinders, are sought after by coffee enthusiasts and antique collector's alike.

This item includes all of the original parts, including the top canister, and it remains in good condition.
