The upper section contains a dense arrangement of small drawers intended for organizing hardware, machine parts, fasteners, patterns, or mercantile inventory, while the larger lower drawers provide storage for bulkier stock. Several drawers retain original interior dividers and galvanized metal liners, demonstrating the cabinet's highly specialized organizational function.
