Vintage Industrial Porcelain Shade Explosion Proof Pendant Light

This industrial ceiling lamp features a beautiful porcelain enamel shade and a sturdy glass bulb enclosure. Originally used in factories and machine shops, these lamps were built to withstand the toughest conditions. The bulb housing is completely sealed which once provided added protection against vapor, dust, and saturation in industrial environments. The violet hue of the glass enclosure has been caused by extended sun exposure over the life of the lamp. Manganese Dioxide, originally used as a decolorizing additive, slowly reacted with the UV rays of the sunlight causing this brilliant color to appear.

This lamp measures 14"L with the glass casing while the shade is 12" in diameter. This lamp is meant to be hardwired and will not come with a plug.
