The predominantly one-piece cast base is finished in bright red with gold-tone accents and incorporates two large floral-spoked wheels, wooden crank handles, and a small faux drawer with a turned wooden pull. A turned wooden column rises from the grinder body to support a circular brass-tone ashtray table with an arched carrying handle. The removable white ceramic ashtray bears a colorful "AIU Insurance Worldwide" globe logo and black-and-gold rim decoration. The ashtray is a later addition and is not original to the stand.

Stand is sturdy and in good condition with a slight wobble. The cast base is formed as one piece aside from the wheels. One wheel is not secured to its axle and can come off, and the wooden drawer pull is loose. Scattered paint loss, scratches, and abrasions are present on the base, with several scuffs visible on the brass-tone ashtray table. The arched handle is slightly bent to one side. The later ceramic ashtray has two small chips on its underside, discoloration to the AIU logo, and partial loss to its gold trim.

10" Diam. x 23" H

MM - C-22659 - 102726

For information regarding shipping, please visit our Terms & Conditions page here.

https://industrialartifacts.net/products/vintage-novelty-coffee-grinder-form-smoking-stand-with-aiu-ashtray
