This vintage Red Crown Gasoline porcelain sign would date back to the first half of the 20th century, when Red Crown gasoline was produced by the Standard Oil Company (circa 1926-1936). This sign is double sided, featuring a white background and green border rings, one along the outside and one encircling the crown logo. The logo itself is red with green detail, while the lettering is also red with green outlines. This sign measures 25 3/4" in diameter, with an extra 1/4" added to the width to account for the flange with 6 holes for screws (flange itself measures 2" wide by 25 3/4" tall). It does have a few spots where it has been worn down to the metal and shows some rust, most notably in the "D", "C", "R", and top of the "N" on one side, and smaller marks through the "O" and "A" on the other side and on the flange, and then around the outer rim of both sides. This item is being sold as found. Please look at all pictures carefully.
