Antique sepia photograph documenting a lively street scene in Freistadt, Wisconsin. An early open automobile carrying several occupants appears in the foreground alongside a procession of horse-drawn wagons and townspeople. The background features a substantial two-story gabled residence with a covered porch and balcony, neighboring workshop buildings, and a tall smoking chimney. Mounted on a dark mat embossed “E. P. Mueller, Freistadt, Wis.” and presented in an ornate molded frame with scrolling foliate decoration and a beaded inner border.
E. P. Mueller is identified by the embossed mount as a photographer working in Freistadt, Wisconsin. Although further studio history is not established, the photograph reflects the important role of local photographers in documenting community life during the transition from horse-drawn transportation to the automobile age.
Frame exhibits minor wear consistent with age, including scuffs, chips, finish loss, and small losses to the raised decoration. Photograph and mount display age-related toning, fading, scattered marks, and light surface soiling. Not examined outside the frame.

PARCEL SHIPPING
We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.
FREIGHT SHIPPING
Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing.
All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles.
Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
