Handmade wooden trencher tray constructed from joined planks and framed with a simple mitered edge. The interior retains a worn green painted surface with heavy abrasion, exposing underlying wood grain and creating a layered, time-earned patina. Subtle ridging from the original board construction remains visible beneath the paint, reinforcing its utilitarian origins. The exterior shows a natural wood finish with signs of handling, tool marks, and age, suggesting prolonged everyday use.

The form is straightforward and purpose-built-likely used for serving, sorting, or general household tasks in a rural setting. The shallow depth and rectangular footprint lend themselves to a variety of uses, while the surviving paint adds a strong visual contrast against the raw wood frame. Wear patterns throughout the surface point to repeated contact and cleaning over time, giving the piece a grounded, authentic presence.

Shows moderate to heavy wear consistent with age and use, including paint loss, surface abrasion, edge wear, and accumulated residue in recessed areas. Corners show minor wear and softening; overall structurally sound.

PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
