Antique mounted bull horns gifted to the Nehring Family of Dekalb, IL by President Woodrow Wilson after winning the 1912 election. The Nehrings were, at the time, some of his biggest supporters; they ran Nehring Electric in Dekalb and, to this day, it is still the longest continuous running wire mill in the Midwest.
This piece features authentic bull horns with the crown wrapped in cloth embellished with a single brass star.
The rest of the piece is also wrapped in some sort of cloth and has a smaller horn, likely used for hanging a coat, and a small moon-shaped vanity mirror with a larger brass star.
