Mounted fire escape sign with textured glass panels. This piece features the iconic parallel curves and lines characteristic of Art Deco and, more specifically, the Streamline Moderne movement which saw its genesis with the aforementioned Art Deco period. Signs of the same design and manufacturer were found in the original incarnations of the Pantages/Orpheum Theaters throughout the country in the 1920s-1960s.

This piece features a cast aluminum "can" with emerald green textured glass panels that illuminate the "FIRE ESCAPE" letters and directional arrow; the arrow hangs beneath the lettered portion of this sign, which is a rare inclusion when one comes across these signs. Connected to the body are two ceiling mounts, though it is pictured suspended from chains (chains not included).

This piece is in great working condition (thought it does not include a plug) and exhibits minor signs of wear, namely a few small spots of rust and tarnish.

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

We work with a number of freight carriers and private drivers, and are happy to assist buyers in finding suitable shipping arrangements for large items. Please reach out to us for quotes and more information about your shipping options. 

Please note that buyers are responsible for the shipping costs of all items that are too large to ship parcel. Moreover, all shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the responsibility for the shipment passes to the buyer the moment the shipment leaves our dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
