c. 1920s; W. B. McLean Manufacturing Co. - Pittsburgh, PA

Large mahogany-framed commercial display showcase manufactured by W. B. McLean Manufacturing Co., retaining its original slant-front presentation form with extensive plate glass viewing panels, adjustable interior shelving, and sliding rear access doors. The case features a richly toned mahogany exterior with substantial rectilinear framing and angled end panels designed to maximize visibility of displayed merchandise while protecting contents from customer handling. The interior retains multiple adjustable glass shelves mounted to original metal support standards, allowing varying heights for jewelry, small goods, tobacco products, dry goods, or pharmacy wares. The broad glass top and uninterrupted viewing angles reflect the early 20th century shift toward brighter, more open retail merchandising intended to encourage browsing and product visibility under both natural and electric lighting conditions.

A faint "Good Fixtures" maker's mark remains visible along the upper interior frame, while stenciled shipping information survives along the lower base, referencing Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and model number "610."

Shows moderate age-related wear throughout including finish wear, scratches, abrasions, and scattered discoloration to the mahogany case. Scratches are present across the top glass. Some interior glass shelves exhibit chips along edges, and several shelves do not sit perfectly level within their support brackets. General wear consistent with long-term commercial use.
