This rotating screw cabinet is said to be one of the rarest pieces of hardware store collectibles in the market today. The H. Westphal rotating screw cabinet is highly sought after but often broken or missing several key components. These cabinets feature cast iron construction with small glass windows peering into each triangular cubby.

This cabinet was constructed on April 11, 1882 as evident by the makers mark. Henry Westphal designed this cabinet to sit atop a hardware store counter and be spun to access the compartments via the wedge cutout design. When fully assembled, this cabinet has significant weight and should remain in place to prevent damage. The ornate designs on the finial are completely intact and have not been recast. The patent for the cabinet was filed in Joliet, IL - not far from the Industrial Artifacts office. After making a trip across North America, this exceptional and museum-quality piece has been brought back home for sale. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding the cabinet.
