Early retail display counter combining a glass showcase upper with a full-width service counter base, executed in stained hardwood with a green felt-lined interior. The upper case features large sliding glass panels and multiple adjustable glass shelves supported by metal standards, allowing for flexible merchandising of small goods. A narrow side-access compartment extends from the left, likely for clerk use or quick-access storage. The interior is lined in green felt-recently applied-providing contrast for displayed items while maintaining a period-appropriate presentation.

The lower cabinet is built for utility, with eight drawers fitted with metal cup pulls flanking a central sliding-door cupboard. The case sits on a darker plinth base, grounding the piece visually and structurally. The top surface shows honest wear from years of commercial use, with edge softening and scattered marks that reinforce its working history. Altogether, it's a purpose-built store fixture-form following function-with just enough refinement in its proportions and materials to elevate it beyond purely utilitarian cabinetry.

Shows moderate to heavy signs of age and use including surface wear to the top, scattered scratches to the glass, minor finish loss along edges, and general patina throughout. Interior felt has been newly applied. Structurally sound and displays well.
