Illustrated softcover songbook titled War Songs, dedicated to the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) and intended for anniversaries and gatherings of soldiers. The front cover features period patriotic graphics including Union flags, an eagle, a Grand Army badge motif, and portraits of prominent Union generals, anchoring the book firmly in post-Civil War veteran culture. The contents include well-known wartime and patriotic standards such as "Yankee Doodle," presented with musical notation and arranged choruses specifically for male voices. Published in Boston by Oliver Ditson Company, this volume reflects the role of communal singing in remembrance, reunions, and memorial events during the late 19th century.

Broken binding with loose and separated pages, along with scattered tears, edge wear, creasing, and paper loss. General surface soiling and age toning throughout. Contents remain legible, but the book is fragile and best suited for careful handling or display.

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
