Upholstered lounge chair produced by Paoli Chair Company, featuring a compact, architectural silhouette with squared arms, a gently reclined back, and tapered wood legs. The chair is upholstered in a richly toned golden velvet, giving the form warmth and visual weight while remaining firmly grounded in mid-century modern restraint. The proportions are deliberate and balanced, with a low seat profile and slightly canted stance that emphasizes comfort without excess. Tapered legs in a dark wood finish lift the chair lightly off the floor, reinforcing the clean, modern lines typical of Paoli's postwar production.

Paoli Chair Company was a significant Midwestern manufacturer known for supplying commercial, institutional, and residential furniture throughout the mid-20th century. During the 1950s and 1960s, Paoli embraced modernist forms that blended durability with contemporary styling, often favoring solid frames and upholstery-forward designs intended for offices, lounges, and waiting rooms. This chair reflects that approach-functional, well-built, and stylistically confident, with just enough softness to humanize its geometry.

Shows moderate wear consistent with age and use, including pile variation and light wear to the velvet upholstery. Wood legs show minor scuffing and finish wear. Overall structure is solid and stable.

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
