Heavy-duty wooden equipment crate constructed with thick plank walls, reinforced corners, and a hinged lift-top lid. The exterior retains remnants of dark olive and black military paint, worn through from repeated handling to reveal the underlying wood. Faded stenciling across the front panel suggests U.S. military use, though the lettering is largely illegible from age and overpainting. Rope carry handles are set into solid wooden end blocks, and the lid is fitted with simple iron strap hinges. Inside, the crate opens to a plain, unfinished wood interior with a fixed internal divider, consistent with organized storage or transport of tools, parts, or field equipment. The overall build is unmistakably utilitarian-designed for durability, stacking, and transport rather than refinement.

During the first half of the 20th century, the U.S. military relied on standardized wooden crates produced by civilian contractors under Quartermaster Corps specifications, supplying rugged storage solutions for equipment, tools, and supplies across domestic bases and overseas deployments.

Solid condition with substantial, honest wear throughout. Paint loss, scuffs, abrasions, and surface grime are present on all exterior faces. Hinges are intact and the lid opens and closes properly. Interior shows expected wear from use but remains structurally sound.

PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
