Iconic sculptural lounge chair designed by Arne Jacobsen, commonly known as the Egg Chair, featuring a high enveloping back, winged sides, and integrated armrests that create a cocooned seating experience. Upholstered in vivid red fabric, the organic shell form sits atop a four-star aluminum swivel base, allowing the chair to rotate smoothly while maintaining a stable footprint. The silhouette is unmistakably modernist-fluid, architectural, and expressive-designed to define space as much as to furnish it. The proportions balance visual drama with comfort, making this a statement piece equally suited to residential interiors or design-forward commercial settings.

Arne Jacobsen introduced the Egg Chair in 1958 as part of his total interior design for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Originally produced by Fritz Hansen, the chair became one of the most enduring icons of Danish modern design, celebrated for its innovative foam shell construction and its ability to combine privacy, comfort, and sculptural presence in a single form.

Overall great condition. Minor scuffing is present on the right armrest. A tear or rip near the bottom of the seat seems to have been "patched" with duct tape at one point in time. The chair swivels smoothly; however, it appears to recline slightly farther back than typical, suggesting the base may benefit from servicing or adjustment. Upholstery is clean and vibrant.
