Early 20th-century industrial drafting table exhibiting functional Machine Age design, pairing a rectangular laminated-wood drawing board with a tubular-steel tripod base and cast-metal hardware. The central column allows the working height to be adjusted, while the universal swivel-and-tilt mechanism positions the board from horizontal to a steep drafting angle. T-handled clamps secure the adjustments, and decorative scroll-form feet stabilize the base. The drawing surface retains extensive drafted lines, marks, and remnants of work attributed to Fred M. Eisenzoph, an illustrator for Popular Mechanics during the 1940s.

A. Hoffman & Co. became known for its Peerless line of professional drafting stands, employing adjustable mechanisms patented by Adolph Hoffman in 1910 to accommodate the varied working positions required by draftsmen, engineers, and illustrators.

Shows heavy wear consistent with professional studio use, including numerous scratches, stains, punctures, drawn lines, abrasions, gouges, finish loss, and edge wear across the wooden board. The laminated edges exhibit scattered chipping and separation. Metal components show oxidation, tarnish, surface grime, paint loss, and an aged industrial patina. Adjustment hardware is present, with general wear visible throughout.

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
