c. 1800s Holy Bible gifted to Henry Laurence of England by his parents. It records the various events in this family dating back to 1835. At some point in the early 1900s, the Laurences married into the Nehring family of Dekalb, at that point becoming a blended family Bible. This book eventually found its way to contemporary members of the Nehring family and stayed in their possession until it was brought to us. Included in this Bible are pressed leaves and a newspaper clipping of the family matriarch's obituary. The book also has a Bible Dictionary and Cities of the Bible index.
Due to its age, this piece exhibits some signs of wear; however, this is an exquisite piece for any religious or ephemera collector.
