Antique Kotex Sale Display
c. 1920s; Kotex / International Cellucotton Products Co. - Chicago, IL
Four-sided lithographed steel pharmacy floor display/pedestal with the classic nurse illustration holding a blue box of Kotex.
Riveted panels form a square column perched on arched feet; each face carries the early KOTEX logotype above the nurse-a campaign used to normalize the brand in drugstores and window displays. The flat top shows old use and a possible former topper point; s Graphic, rare point‑of‑sale ephemera that now works as a display plinth, plant stand, or conversation‑starting artifact of women's‑health marketing.
Introduced by Kimberly‑Clark in 1921, Kotex popularized the first mass‑market disposable sanitary napkin, early advertising famously featuring nurses to build trust in the company's feminine hygiene products.
Exhibits moderate signs of wear and use. Surfaces exhibit rust, general oxidation, paint loss, and honest scuffs while remaining sturdy. Please refer to photos regarding condition.
