Large hollow plaster shoe display form modeled as a men's lace-up oxford with a rounded toe, stacked heel, and decorative stitching throughout. Cast from plaster and hand-painted to simulate dark brown leather, the form features molded laces, eyelets, and a removable wooden sizing knob at the heel, replicating the appearance of a traditional wooden shoe last. Unlike a functional cobbler's last, this oversized example was intended as a commercial display piece, likely for use in a shoe store or department store window to advertise footwear. The underside reveals its hollow cast construction, with unfinished interior surfaces characteristic of production display forms.

Displays light to moderate age-related wear consistent with commercial use. The hollow plaster body remains structurally sound, with the interior retaining its original unfinished casting surface. The underside is painted only where visible when displayed, with unpainted plaster remaining inside the recessed cavities. The painted finish exhibits scattered scratches and handling wear throughout, including a noticeable area of paint loss to the right side panel and a series of light scratches along the left side. The molded shoelace displays damage with associated losses to both material and paint, as shown in the photographs. Overall presents well with an attractive aged patina.

PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
