Late 19th-century tin lithograph advertising "The Club Cocktails," specifically its pre-mixed Manhattan cocktail. The richly detailed interior scene depicts a formally dressed gentleman relaxing in a wicker chair beside a tiled fireplace, smoking a cigarette while holding a stemmed cocktail glass. A labeled bottle of "The Club" Manhattan Cocktails appears on an ornate side table alongside an oil lamp, matchbox, and cigarettes. The lower margins are marked "Copyrighted 1894 by G.F. Heublein & Bro." and "Chas. W. Shonk Co. Litho Chicago." Presented in a later faux-burl wood frame with backing paper and attached wire hanger.

G.F. Heublein & Bro. introduced "The Club Cocktails" in 1892, offering pioneering pre-mixed bottled cocktails including Manhattans and martinis. The Hartford company later became associated with A-1 Steak Sauce and acquired the American rights to Smirnoff vodka in 1939, helping popularize vodka in the United States.

Tin lithograph is in good overall condition with some watermarks in the lower-right quadrant. Slight denting is present along the horizontal midline on both sides, as shown in the close-up photographs. Additional scattered surface marks, small spots, and minor age-related wear are visible. Frame has one small crack at the lower-left corner. Backing paper is torn in three places; wire hanger remains attached.

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
