Handsome desktop set combining a perpetual calendar and swiveling pen holder on a substantial rectangular green onyx base. The polished stone displays translucent cream, pale green, amber, and russet veining, with softly rounded corners and a surviving oval "Genuine Onyx" label. A brass-tone cylindrical calendar presents the day, numerical date, and month through three individual windows, adjusted using controls at either end. The coordinating tapered black pen receptacle is mounted on a brass-tone ball joint, allowing it to swivel to the preferred writing angle. The underside is protected by fitted green felt.

The manufacturer is unidentified; decorative stone desk sets of this type became popular during the mid-20th century, combining practical office accessories with the distinctive color and natural figuring of polished onyx.

Overall good condition. The calendar functions, although the right-side manipulator sticks during adjustment. The pen holder swivels properly. Metal components show scattered scratches, finish wear, discoloration, and oxidation. The onyx has light surface wear and soiling but no visible chips or cracks. The original "Genuine Onyx" label shows wear and surface loss. Green felt underside remains in good condition with light marks and minor soiling.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
