Mid-century walnut modern dresser featuring a clean architectural case elevated on a minimalist stretcher base. The design incorporates three shallow upper drawers above six larger storage drawers concealed behind a faux fifteen-drawer facade, creating the visual appearance of a traditional apothecary or card catalog cabinet while providing the practicality of full-size drawer storage. The dresser retains its original recessed circular pulls with brass centers and showcases beautifully matched walnut veneer throughout the case and drawer fronts. The streamlined form, warm walnut finish, and clever drawer arrangement exemplify the sophisticated storage solutions produced by American furniture makers during the height of the mid-century modern period.

United Furniture Corporation was one of North Carolina's leading furniture manufacturers during the mid-twentieth century, producing well-crafted modern and traditional furnishings that were distributed nationwide. This example corresponds to documented United case furniture designs from the 1960s and retains the company's characteristic styling and hardware.

Shows light wear consistent with age and use including a small scratch to the top surface and minor scattered handling marks. Drawers operate smoothly and interiors are clean. Walnut finish remains vibrant with attractive grain throughout, presenting as an exceptionally well-preserved example overall.

PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please reach out to us for a free shipping quote on items you are interested in purchasing and note that international shipments may incur additional shipping cost.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
