Vintage "Lenox" Cast Iron and Porcelain Sink Salesman Sample by Standard

Porcelain enameled cast iron salesman sample sink from Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company's "Lenox" line, featuring a rectangular basin with rounded corners and an integrated backsplash fitted with miniature hot and cold faucets and a central drain fitting. Salesman samples of this type were produced to demonstrate plumbing fixtures to architects, contractors, builders, and plumbing supply dealers, allowing customers to examine construction quality and styling without transporting full-sized fixtures. The underside is cast with the maker's marks "STANDARD" and "LENOX," identifying the model line and manufacturer.
Founded in the nineteenth century, Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company became one of America's leading producers of plumbing fixtures before later merging with American Radiator to form American-Standard. The company's Lenox line reflected the growing emphasis on durable, sanitary porcelain enameled fixtures that became standard in American homes during the early twentieth century.
Overall good condition. The porcelain enamel exhibits light age-related wear including scratches, minor discoloration within the basin, scattered marks consistent with use, and light wear along the exterior sides. The miniature faucet hardware remains complete and presents well with an attractive aged patina, though neither faucet currently turns. The underside retains remnants of its original gold-painted finish, now worn with scratches and a broad streak of paint loss across the bowl and edges, exposing the underlying cast iron. The underside retains the cast maker's marks "STANDARD" and "LENOX."

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING
Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing.
All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles.
Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
