Substantial double-stack architect's flat file constructed with an oak exterior stained a deep mahogany color. The cabinet contains ten uniformly sized, shallow drawers arranged between two modular five-drawer cases. Each drawer has a pair of rounded oak pulls and a recessed central label holder, while the drawer bottoms are made from Masonite. Paneled oak ends, a broad finished top, and a separate plinth base with tapered feet give the utilitarian storage cabinet a particularly refined furniture-quality appearance.

The cabinet separates into four components-the top, two five-drawer cases, and base-making it substantially easier to move and install. Its broad, shallow drawers provide protected flat storage for architectural plans, blueprints, maps, prints, drawings, textiles, and other oversized materials.

Overall good vintage condition with scattered scratches, scuffs, small abrasions, edge wear, minor chips, and areas of finish loss throughout. The top exhibits surface scratches, dust and particulate residue, small white specks, and areas of finish variation. Additional rubbing and small finish losses are visible along the corners, cabinet edges, drawer fronts, side panels, base, and feet. The oak grain remains prominent beneath the deep mahogany-colored stain, with natural variations in color and sheen across the separate components. The Masonite drawer bottoms show age-related discoloration, staining, dust, and surface wear. All ten drawers and their oak pulls are present. Empty recessed label holders remain centered on the drawer fronts. Minor alignment gaps and finish variation are present where the upper and lower cabinets meet. The four-piece modular construction remains intact and presents well.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
