1940s-1950s; National Pressure Cooker Company - Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Vintage authorized-service display housed in a hinged, stained-wood carrying case. The glass-fronted presentation panel features vivid yellow, black, red, and white graphics advertising "Genuine Parts • Authorized Service," with National and Presto Pressure Cookers logos and illustrations. Opening the case reveals fitted wooden compartments and a series of concentric metal bands intended to organize replacement pressure-cooker components. A detailed Parts Identification List mounted inside the lid illustrates and identifies sealing bands, handles, safety plugs, vent pipes, pressure controls, gauges, and other National and Presto parts.

The National Pressure Cooker Company of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, developed from an early producer of commercial pressure-canning equipment into a major manufacturer of household pressure cookers. The company introduced the Presto name during the late 1930s and later became National Presto Industries.

Sturdy and in good overall condition. Exterior surfaces exhibit stains, scratches, finish wear, and scattered edge marks, with small scratches also present in the glass. The wood is dented near the closing hook, and the latch requires some pressure to engage, resulting in a circular scratch around the closure. The transfer-printed and painted Masonite/board panel has age-related cracking along its left edge and a double-circle scratch in the lower-right area. Interior woodwork and glass remain in good condition, while the printed identification sheet shows minor toning and handling wear but remains legible. The lid-support arm is present, but its upper end is disconnected and the attaching screw or nail is missing. The outermost semicircular metal ring has broken free from two retaining tabs.
