Salesman sample demonstration kit for a Westinghouse industrial lifting magnet, housed in its original fitted carrying case. The set includes a scaled lifting magnet, interchangeable demonstration components, steel plates, spacer rings, and an illustrated Westinghouse brochure explaining the design, manufacture, and operation of the company's industrial lifting magnets. Intended for use by sales representatives, the kit allowed customers to visualize the construction and lifting principles of full-size electromagnetic lifting magnets used in steel mills, foundries, scrapyards, and manufacturing facilities. The molded velvet-lined interior secures each component within dedicated compartments, while the exterior case is embossed "Lifting Magnet Sample" and bears the Westinghouse logo.

Needs electricity to operate. Displays moderate age-related wear consistent with use and storage. The exterior case exhibits scattered scuffs, scratches, edge wear, losses to the covering material, and exposed wood at several corners. The front latches function properly; however, no key is included for the integrated locks. The lid is designed to lift free of the lower case once opened, utilizing removable hinge pins rather than a permanently attached hinge arrangement. The front of the case features a folding access flap that drops down when opened and is only minimally attached due to deterioration of the case material. The blue velvet-lined interior exhibits wear, including areas of missing flocking, a hole in the upper lining, accumulated dust, and minor losses throughout. The fitted compartments show expected wear from use. The magnet, accessory components, and instruction booklet exhibit typical handling wear consistent with age. PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
