Large, wheeled in-store promotional display constructed from painted fiberboard and designed in the form of a Wonder Bread delivery truck. The exterior features the iconic Wonder Bread branding with polka-dot graphics and the familiar "Wonder Bread" slogan, along with stylized cab windows and a smiling driver illustration. Integrated signal-style lights are mounted around the perimeter, originally intended to flash and draw attention in grocery and bakery environments. The display is engineered to collapse at the center, allowing it to reduce in overall footprint for storage or transport while maintaining strong visual impact when fully opened. Rolling casters and integrated guard rails emphasize its practical retail purpose, blending playful mid-century design with functional merchandising.

The Continental Baking Company, headquartered in Chicago, was one of the largest commercial bakeries in the United States during the mid-20th century and the producer of Wonder Bread. During the 1950s-1960s, the company invested heavily in bold point-of-sale displays like this example to reinforce brand recognition in supermarkets nationwide. Large, dimensional displays were produced in limited numbers and intended for short-term use, making surviving examples increasingly uncommon.

Shows paint wear throughout, a cracked and broken section on the top right side, and general surface scuffs consistent with retail use. The display collapses as designed and rolls easily. Perimeter lights function overall, though one bulb on the back appears to be burned out.

PARCEL SHIPPING

We ship smaller objects with UPS and USPS. All shipments are fully insured and adhere to carrier packing guidelines. Shipping costs for smaller items being shipped within the continental United States are free up to $100. If a parcel shipment exceeds $100, the remaining costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. FREIGHT SHIPPING

Free freight shipping is available for most large items. Conditions and restrictions apply: Free delivery is only offered on orders in the continental US. Shipping for freight items is free up to $500. If freight shipping costs exceed $500, the buyer is responsible for covering any amount over $500. Free freight delivery services include: delivery to a freight terminal, curbside delivery, and door-to-door delivery with a private carrier. White glove delivery services are *not included* in our free freight shipping policy, but may be available for a fee. Buyers may be subject to fees in cases where a delivery location is remote/difficult to access, or where a shipment requires special handling. Please contact us for shipping quotes and available services prior to purchasing. 

All shipments are considered FOB (Free on Board), meaning the buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment the moment it leaves our loading dock. Any risk of loss or damage after this point is assumed solely by the buyer. In the event of damage or loss, we are happy to assist buyers in the claims process if we helped coordinate the shipment. However, we are not responsible for any damages, loss, or deductibles. 

Delivery for freight items averages between 2-4 weeks. Longer delivery times are to be expected in cases where a delivery location is remote or when an order contains especially large or fragile items.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All shipments going outside of the continental United States will require consultation prior to shipping. Items will be crated and shipped by boat or by air at the buyer's expense. Please contact us regarding any questions you may have.
